Tamper Proof Circle Pattern – The Real Deal

One of the features that makes our decals stand out from the competitors is that we emboss the tamper proof circle pattern, not just print it to look that way. But don’t worry! We provide clear instructions on how to apply the decals to your vehicle. Plus, we add a transfer layer so that the decal is easy to apply.

Don’t mind the glare. We are just trying to highlight the embossed, not printed, pattern from another angle.

Circle Pattern Mold: Circles touch each other on the horizontal axis and a slight space between circles on the vertical axis. Porsche used the same circle pattern from the 1960s to 1980s.

Why a custom decal?

Hello friends,

We recently posted a diagram pointing out the differences in each VIN decal (compliance decal, door jam sticker). With this information it can be seen why a custom decal is required for a Concours d’Élégance restoration.

Please see ” Decal Anatomy” page.

Take care,
Kerry

“Tamper Resistant Circle Pattern” UPDATE

Hello fellow drivers,

We received the first circle pattern cut mold a couple weeks back. It was close, but not 100%. After several modifications and tests a second new cut mold was ordered last week. We will receive it early next week and  will report results a.s.a.p.

The first batch of decals went out some time back. We were happy to see all customers reported they were surprised how accurate our decals were. Thank you. We know many of you are waiting for decals with the circle cut pattern. We hope to have good news soon.

Take care,

Kerry

Rarely seen “Tamper Resistant Circle Pattern” mold captured!

Good morning campers!

For some time we have been discussing with a cut mold maker in the printing industry the details of a “tamper resistant circle pattern” mold . Yesterday we finally ordered the “tamper resistant circle pattern” mold.  It cost  a chunk of cash, but  it will be worth it when we see the professional results.

We receive samples in about a week. We will keep you posted.

Shot of Schnapps in the morning.

Hello fellow Porsche Windmills!

There has been some forum discussion on the accuracy of our fonts/decals, especially the VIN punch holes. Below are some better pictures of a finished decal. Please note that Porsche decals are made by technicians, not the Porsche design department. Because of this the decal design can have variations. This may happen when the Stuttgart factory worker doesn’t get his shot of Schnapps in the morning!

So… typesetting, font style and VIN placement vary year to year, country to country and model to model. Often there are missing punch holes in original stickers. We will accurately copy any irregularities in your decal if an original photo can be provided. If there is no photo, we will use another same-year and same -country decal as the basis for your decal. We will send a PDF  proof for you to confirm before printing.

Keep your stick on the ice!

Kerry

From photo above – detail picture of build date punch holes.

Note: Our machine can be set to match different hole patterns. For example, 6 high X 4 wide, or 5 high X 4 wide ( as seen below) etc.
