One of the features that makes our decals stand out from the competitors is that we emboss the tamper proof circle pattern, not just print it to look that way. But don’t worry! We provide clear instructions on how to apply the decals to your vehicle. Plus, we add a transfer layer so that the decal is easy to apply.

Circle Pattern Mold: Circles touch each other on the horizontal axis and a slight space between circles on the vertical axis. Porsche used the same circle pattern from the 1960s to 1980s.

A comparison of foil decals and metallic vinyl VIN decals. As previously discussed, OEM Porsche VIN decals are metallic vinyl with black ink (one layer). Many other decals are foil laminate type, good quality but not OEM for Porsche VIN decals. A foil decal has printing on foil and then frosted laminate over the printing (two layer).
Why do we need a custom VIN decal? Because every VIN decal is different. (compliance decal, door jam sticker)
Material: Original VIN decals are made with metallic silver vinyl – not foil with frosted laminate.Some other decals are foil but not the VIN decal.
VIN number: VIN number is machine punched not laser cut. Earlier cars – 6 hole font pattern. Later cars – 5 hole font pattern. Recent cars have bar code. We generate correct bar code.
Decal Part Number: Part number of decal varies with car model and year.
Vehicle Weights: Weights vary from model and vehicle options ( turbo, wheels etc.)
Tamper resistant circle pattern: Earlier cars have this pattern cut into the whole decal to prevent tampering.
Build date: This is the day the car completed manufacture at the factory. This does not indicate the model year. Most often cars built in autumn are the next model year.
Bar Code: We generate correct bar code. Recent model cars have bar code which is a machine readable image of the VIN number. It consists of 17 alphanumerical characters that convey the manufacturer’s identification (WMI), a descriptor of the vehicle’s configuration (VDS), a check digit, the year it was built, the manufacturer’s plant identification and the vehicle’s serial number.
Other variables: Fonts, typesetting and copy vary from year to year.
Decal colors: black, silver – vary model to model, month to month.
